Expressive equestrian oil painting, signed Lambert, late 20th century.

This striking modern composition depicts a lively equestrian scene with horses, riders and small human figures arranged in a dynamic, almost dreamlike rhythm. The work combines figurative subject matter with an abstract and expressive painterly style, using bold brushstrokes and a vivid palette of blue, pink, green, white and deep brown tones.

The lower right appears to be signed “Lambert” and dated, possibly from the mid-1990s. The subject, style and energetic treatment of horses are closely related to the work of Elie Lambert, the Belgian artist known for his colourful and highly individual interpretation of the horse racing world.

The painting has a strong decorative presence, full of movement, humour and atmosphere. Its modern equestrian subject makes it ideal for collectors of horse paintings, sporting art, contemporary figurative art or expressive modern interiors.
