Chinese Jade Horse Sculpture, 20th Century

Decorative Chinese jade horse sculpture, dating from the 20th century, presented on a fitted wooden base.

The horse is carved in a dynamic pose, with the head raised, one front leg lifted and finely detailed reins held in the mouth. The flowing mane, draped saddle cloth and carved body details give the piece a strong sense of movement and elegance. Its pale green jade tone, with natural variations and soft translucency, adds depth and decorative character.

The design is inspired by traditional Chinese equestrian forms, particularly the powerful and expressive horse figures associated with Tang-style art. The wooden base enhances the presentation and makes the piece suitable for display on a console, desk, library shelf or collector’s cabinet.

A refined decorative object for collectors of Asian art, jade carvings and vintage Chinese decorative pieces.
