Ch. Desvergnes Napoléon I Relief Plate With Imperial Eagle

Decorative circular relief plate depicting Napoléon I in profile, accompanied by the imperial eagle, signed Ch. Desvergnes.

The composition is finely worked in relief, showing Napoleon in military uniform with his iconic bicorne hat, set against the dramatic wings and head of the imperial eagle. The design has a strong historical and symbolic presence, combining portraiture, military iconography and decorative sculpture.

The piece is signed lower right Ch. Desvergnes, most probably referring to the French sculptor Charles Jean Cléophas Desvergnes 1860–1928. The relief has a warm bronze-toned patina and a softly irregular circular rim, giving it the appearance of a decorative wall plate or commemorative plaque.

A fine decorative object for collectors of Napoleonic memorabilia, French historical pieces or antique-style bronze and metal reliefs.

Good vintage condition, with age-related patina, surface marks and light wear consistent with age and use.
