Art Deco Style Monkey Vase
Decorative ceramic vase in the Art Deco style, attributed to Keralouve La Louvière, Belgium, 20th century.
The vase features a charming and highly stylised monkey decoration, with warm brown, ochre and orange tones set against a light crackle-glazed ceramic ground. The design includes monkeys climbing around palm-like trees, circular monkey-head medallions, autumnal leaves and a geometric lower border, creating a lively and rhythmic Art Deco composition.
Its rounded ovoid form gives the piece a strong decorative presence, while the glossy enamel colours and fine craquelure surface add depth and vintage character. The underside bears the model number 508-1 MC, a detail associated with Keralouve La Louvière ceramic production.
A playful yet refined decorative object, ideal for collectors of Belgian ceramics, Art Deco style interiors or unusual animal-themed decorative pieces.
The vase is in good vintage condition, with light age-related wear and fine craquelure consistent with its ceramic glaze and period character.
