A decorative Chippendale Revival coffee table dating from the early 20th century, circa 1920–1940.
The table features a richly carved wooden frame, most likely stained oak, with elegant floral, foliate and shell motifs along the apron. The shaped cabriole legs end in beautifully carved claw-and-ball feet, a distinctive detail associated with the Chippendale style.
The top is fitted with a black veined marble slab, adding a refined contrast to the warm tone of the carved wood. The border is also finely decorated with carved floral and geometric details, giving the piece a strong decorative presence from every angle.
With its compact rectangular proportions, this piece works beautifully as a coffee table, low occasional table or decorative centre table in a classic, eclectic or antique-inspired interior.
The table shows age-related wear, including surface marks and patina on the wooden frame and marble, consistent with its age and use.
